lyrics

Oh did you hear about scooter, poor boy
Let me tell you a story.

This here is a ditty about Brick Thick Betty
Lost her leg in the levy.
Well Brick Thick Betty was feelin’ hot n heavy
in the wake of a battlefield draw
At the end of the day she offed her leg in
the hopes that it would grow up so tall
Well one week later, seen an alligator
drag that leg off to the levy
a nice patch of grass you can bet your ass
he wolfed it down with some gravy
Oh… that poor boy

What do we got here
It’s mine, it’s so mine,
I’ve been hunting for you all day

What do we got here
It’s fine, it’s so fine,
What do we got here,
It’s mine, it’s all mine
I’ve been huntin all damn day
Someone’s gone and short of a leg

We searched all day
And found it layin’ out under the hickory
Gonna put it on a stick and roast it up quick
Gonna taste somethin’ like hickory
Well ol cooter scooter got the sugar shits
but left it all in a big ol pile.
Well Brick Thick Betty went down to the levy
and found that it growed up so high
Oh that poor boy

What do we got here
It’s mine, it’s all mine,
Well I’ve been hunting for you all day
What do we go here
It’s fine, it’s so fine,
What do we go here,
It’s mine, it’s all mine
I’ve been huntin all damn day
Some one’s gone and short of a leg
(well I’ve been here four hundred years,
shave my flesh and cut my ears
burn my flesh and tasted your fears
I was here for years and years)
Well that’s not the end.
no no, the story continues
That poor boy, he had never been the same after that
He’s still out there searching
Searching for that other leg
You better watch your ass,
I mean you better really watch your ass
He’s out there, man
He’s coming
Oh, He’s coming
thats not the end
